The fall commencement ceremonies will be held on December 13th in the Special Events Center on the main campus of Fresno Pacific University (1717 S. Chestnut Ave, Fresno, CA 93702). The ceremony for traditional undergraduate and graduate students will begin at 10:00am. The ceremony for degree completion students will begin at 1:30pm.
No rehearsal is scheduled. Students should line up 30 minutes prior to the ceremony in the Special Events Center, wearing their regalia and holding their personalized name cards.
Commencement packets will be mailed to all participants the week of November 19th. Packets will include participant instructions, personalized name cards, and tickets.
Tickets & Seating
Students will recieve tickets in their commencement packets. Doors will open one hour before the ceremonies. Overflow seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis in the Steinert Student Center. The ceremony will also be streaming online.
Special Needs Seating
For special seating arrangements (i.e. hearing impaired, wheelchair, ASL interpreter, etc.), please contact the Student Life Office no later than two weeks prior to commencement at 559-453-2073. All other seating is first-come, first-served.
Professional photographers will photograph each candidate receiving his/her diploma from the president and at the bottom of the stairs following each student’s recognition on stage. Each candidate will be provided a 2" X 2" proof photograph in the mail about a week following your ceremony. If you like the proof, you will be able to order enlargements.
For safety reasons, all ceremony photography by family and friends must be taken from their seats. Family and friends wishing to take close-up photos of their student and the president may do so after the ceremony.
Regalia (cap/gown, hood) may be purchased in the Pacfic Bookshop. Bookshop hours are 9:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday and 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Friday. Pick up your regalia early as the gowns need to be ironed or steamed.
