Spring Commencement

The spring commencement ceremony will be held Saturday, May 5, 2012, on the main Fresno campus.

10:00 a.m. - Undergraduate and graduate ceremony

6:00 p.m. - Degree completion ceremony

Rehearsal

No rehearsal is scheduled.  Students should line-up 30 minutes prior to their ceremony in the Special Events Center.

Commencement Packets

Commencement packets will be mailed to all participants the week of April 9th. Packets will include participant instructions, name cards, and tickets for guests (in case of rain).

Commencement Tickets

In the event of rain, tickets will be required for all guests attending the ceremony. The number of tickets is determined by the number of seats available divided by the number of graduates participating in the ceremony.

Seating

Special seating arrangements

For special seating arrangements (i.e. hearing impaired, wheelchair, sign language interpreter, etc.) please contact the Student Life Office no later than two weeks prior to commencement at 559-453-2073.

Photography

Professional photographs will be taken by Campus Candids (www.pics4u.com). Professional photographers will photograph each candidate receiving his/her diploma from the president and at the bottom of the stairs following each student’s recognition on stage. Each candidate will be provided a 2 X 2 proof photograph in the mail about a week following your ceremony. If you like the proof you will be able to order enlargements.

For safety reasons, all ceremony photography by family and friends must be taken from their seats. Family and friends wishing to take close-up photos of their student and the president may do so after the ceremony.

Regalia

Regalia (cap/gown, hood) may be purchased in the Pacfic Bookshop beginning April 9th. Bookshop hours are 9:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday and 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Friday. Pick up your regalia early as the gowns need to be ironed or steamed.
